  • We Fired Our Shine with KX Pilates and Barrebody Instructor, Karlie

    In Karlie’s own words, the first 30 Day pilates Challenge she ever completed, changed her life. From suffering anorexia and bulimia when she was younger, she felt stronger, mentally and physically after the challenge. This led Karlie to undertake pilates teacher training and quit her corporate day job to spread the word about how both pilates and barre can change your life.

    To find your motivation and passion is rare and wonderful. Karlie is most content in front of people and teaching. She loves the trust, guidance and fun she has instructing a class and to be with like minded people who are on their own health and wellness journey.

    We asked Karlie what her day looks like on a plate:

    - Start the day with yoghurt, muesli and coffee

    - During the day, a green smoothie and snacks on protein bars and protein balls, normally home made

    - No processed carbs and everything is low sugar

    - Dinner is normally lean meat and vegetables or salad and loves Mexican, especially nachos

    What is your biggest fear: clients not liking a class she has held.

    Favourite Barre routine: loves pulses and the burn from the isolation of the leg muscles. You’ll always find a lot of pulses, squats, thighs and work in Karlie’s classes. Least favourite are any complicated choreographed dance moves - we hear you!
